The US actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who celebrated her breakthrough with the horror classic “Halloween” 40 years ago, does not think anything of the Halloween celebrations.
“Nowadays, I do not celebrate it anymore,” said the 59-year-old in an interview with the news agency dpa. “I live in a place where nobody gets lost.” Still, she puts candy in the morning in front of the door.
“In the past, I used to go from house to house with my children for the ‘trick or treat’ ritual, and did all the other things that you do as a parent on Halloween.” But now, her children have long been out of the house. “Maybe I’ll start again if I have grandchildren.”
In November, the actress turns 60. Whether you scare the number? “No, not at all,” she said. “It’s rather exciting. I feel much more alive today. For me, I see myself as a great opportunity for growth and development. ”
As of October 25th, Curtis will again be seen as Laurie Strode in the cinema in the new “Halloween”. Now, as an aged, traumatized woman, she tries to protect her family from the mass murderer Michael Myers.
