New York Times : Kanye West wants to talk to Trump about Jobs

US rapper Kanye West, 41, is scheduled to meet US President Donald Trump for lunch at the White House. Previously, he wanted to meet with Trump’s son-in-law and advisor Jared Kushner on Thursday, the New York Times wrote.

The singer wanted to talk about how former inmates could be better integrated into the labor market and more jobs could be created in the Chicago area where West grew up.

The musician (“Yeezus”) has repeatedly pronounced himself publicly for Trump, most recently in the US comedy show “Saturday Night Live”. The two met in 2016 shortly after Trump’s election to the US president.

The rapper’s wife, reality star Kim Kardashian, met Trump at the White House in May. She was there for the pardon of an elderly woman who had been sentenced to life imprisonment for drug offenses. Trump later agreed, and the woman was able to leave the prison.
